The Laurel Arts League offers two different scholarships to students who are interested in the arts. The High School Scholarship Program is open all high school seniors (or homeschooled students) attending school in, or residing in, Laurel/Jones County. This includes all public, private, and homeschool programs. This program is not limited to students planning to major in the visual arts, but applicants must be able to provide an art portfolio. The Collegiate Scholarship Program is open to college students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year attending an accredited institution located within Mississippi as well as sophomore, junior, or senior collegiate student from Jones County who are attending an accredited institution outside the state. Applicants must be majoring in a visual fine arts degree program at a college or university (private or public).
Awards will be determined on a competitive basis and require the submission of an art portfolio and letters of recommendation. All work must be original in fabrication and concept. Established in 1969, the mission of Laurel Arts League is to promote the visual and performing arts in our community. Throughout our generosity, the Laurel Arts League offers numerous types of financial aid, such as scholarships.
