The HITEC Foundation Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic descent to obtain a university degree within the technology industry. Scholarships are available, on a competitive basis, to high school seniors, undergraduate students
community college students transferring to four-year universities, graduate students and DACA (Deferred Actions for Early Childhood Arrivals) students.
Scholarships are a one-time $5,000 award, dispersed in two payments, that must be used in the following academic year. It may only be used at an accredited, non-profit college/university or vocational/technical school in the United States for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for your courses for all students. Deadline to apply is April 14th and notification of selection results the following June. Applicants must be of Hispanic heritage (i.e., at least one parent must be of Hispanic descent), be a graduating high school senior or current college student, have a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), major (or intend on majoring) in Technology or an approved technology-related major and be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident, or have active Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)status.
