The Virginia W. Smith Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• The North Country Garden Club is pleased to grant annually a one-time scholarship in the memory of member Virginia W. Smith. The $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a local student in the twelfth grade who has maintained satisfactory grades and who has a desire to further his/her interest in horticulture, conservation, environmental, sustainability or green initiatives through college-level study.

  In order to be considered, the student must complete and submit the application with the required transcript, essay and letters of recommendation by June 1st. A personal interview is required and will be conducted by Zoom on June 10th. The award will be announced by July 1st. The scholarship will be used towards tuition and/or educational support.
