I am very much interested in applying for this scholarship because I plan on pursuing a career in the health professions. I intend to explore the different health professions that are available to make sure I choose the best fit for me. I intend to go to an HBCU, however, because the one that I want to attend is out of state, I will need financial assistance to be able to. If I am awarded this scholarship, it would help me to fulfill my dream of becoming a healthcare professional one day.

Hi, I'm Zakiya Brown and I have not applied for this scholarship yet because I haven't had the opportunity to explore other scholarships that could really benefit me in the long run. I am a very dedicated and motivated student that works hard for everything that I put my mind to. As a first generation in my family to go to college I believe this scholarship could really help me

Remembering 9/11

September 11, 2020

by Izzy Hall

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the devastating September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States of America. We honor those who lost their lives in the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, as well as the first responders who gave their lives rescuing survivors, and the passengers of Flight 93 who thwarted the hijacker’s plans. The events of September 11, 2001 touched the lives of all Americans and redefined a generation. Now, even in the midst of another national crisis, we feel it is appropriate to take the time to remember this tragedy. [...]
