Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, Inc. Scholarships are one-year grants available for college juniors, seniors, or graduate students pursuing a masters degree. Applicants must be legal residents of Maryland and must attend an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must be planning a career related to gardening, landscape design, environmental issues, floral design or horticulture. Applicants must have a 3.25 GPA. Dollar amounts will vary.
Besides the application, the following documents must be submitted, single side pages only: a financial aid form; complete transcripts; a letter from the applicant (one-page only), which should specify which scholarship the student is applying for; a list of extracurricular activities, honors and recognitions received within the last three years; and two letters of recommendation. Applications may be submitted electronically, but the other materials must be mailed to the specified contact.
