Boating Writers International (BWI) sponsors an annual scholarship program for tomorrow’s boating communicators. BWI is interested in rewarding outstanding undergraduate students who are involved in and preparing to devote a substantial amount of their life’s work in the field of writing, photography, video, broadcasting, film, or art. Ideal candidates are talented communicators with boating interests who can demonstrate a record of accomplishment in and commitment to this field. Judges look for applicants with talent, promise and firsthand knowledge of the boating life. Applications are rated on clarity, organization and originality.
