The Mon Health Medical Center Foundation awards scholarships to eligible students pursuing degrees in healthcare fields. The scholarships are valued at $1,000 annually. Selection is based on financial need and academic performance. Applicants must submit a letter describing why they selected a specific health career. A sub-committee of the foundation’s board of directors selects the recipients.
The Mon Health Medical Center Foundation Health Career Scholarships are available to area students who have chosen to go into selected health care professions and meet scholastic and financial need requirements. You must be a resident of one of one of the following counties at the time of application: Braxton, Gilmer, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker, Upshur and Wetzel in West Virginia; or Fayette and Greene in Pennsylvania. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need, and have one of the following: a 3.0 GPA, an ACT score of 21 or an SAT score of 1060.
