The Association of Illinois Township Committees on Youth (AITCOY) is a statewide voice and resource for community based human services agencies, which provide educational, emotional, recreational, and social opportunities for youth and families. AITCOY has many purposes, including: to promote improved services for youth and families in townships throughout Illinois; and to facilitate cooperation, information and resource sharing among such entities and programs.. AITCOY offers a $500 scholarship to high school seniors entering a four-year college or university and a $1,000 scholarship to students attending or accepted into a master's program.
For the Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must demonstrate an interest in and have participated in serving their community, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate leadership qualities, and plan on majoring in one of the following fields: social work, counseling, psychology, youth recreation, youth prevention, or sociology. For the Graduate Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled or accepted in an approved master's program, have experience in youth programs or social services, demonstrate leadership qualities and have a career plan in social services with youth.
