The application window for the Annual Alan & Mary Jo Lincoln (AMJL) Scholarship Program is now open. The scholarship aims to support career-driven African American high school seniors who’ve taken an active role in their schools and communities. Eligible applicants must also plan to enroll as full-time student at a college, university, or trade school in the fall. ALMJ believes in supporting the educational advancement of future African American leaders. Our goal is to reward African American youth who are actively committed to their school and local community and to alleviate some of the financial burden of college/trade school attendance.
We are offering a $1,000 -$2,000 scholarship to graduating African American High School Seniors who will be attending College/University or Trade School full-time in the fall. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior the year the scholarship is awarded and must plan to enroll as a full-time student at a College, University, or trade school during the coming fall. Interested Applicants Must Submit the Following by May 31st: A completed application, Two (2) letters of recommendation: one (1) from a school official and one (1) from a community organization, Official School transcript, and an essay of at least 500 words on the following theme: “Race Relationship in my hometown”.
The winner will receive their scholarship in the Fall after submitting proof of full-time enrollment in a College/University or Trade School. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
