  • Demp Alford was a senior chemist with Brown and Williamson in Louisville KY. Upon retiring he performed consulting services for favors and fragrances companies around the world. He was known for his strong work ethic, sharp mind and a wonderful sense of humor. The Alford Food Science Scholarship program is designed to continue his philanthropic nature by supporting the development of future food scientists at the University of Kentucky. The Alford Scholarship covers full-time in-state tuition. Applications must be submitted through the College of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
