The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship awarded to a high school senior who will be graduating and will enroll in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the coming fall. All applicants must provide documentation showing they have a learning disability (LD).
Eligibility
- High school senior
- Enrolling in or accepted to a four-year college or university.
- Documented learning disability (LD) is required.
- Qualifying learning disabilies include:
- Dyslexia
- Dyscalculia
- Dysgraphia
- Dyspraxia
- Specific Learning Disability, or a math, reading, or writing disability
Your school psychologist or practitioner would be able to identify learning disabilities and provide the necessary diagnosis documentation. Students with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, etc, who also have a learning disability are also eligible to apply and encouraged to do so.
Application Requirements
- Applicants must complete an online application.
- Applicants must also submit their FAFSA information and detailed Estimated Family Contribution (EFC), at least one recommendation, and responses to 3 personal questions
- The 3 personal questions can be answered in text, video, or audio format.
The Anne Ford Scholarship supports students with learning disabilities in their pursuit of a four-year post-secondary education and career advancement goals. The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship supports students with learning disabilities pursuing alternative post-secondary education and career advancement goals. You may apply for one or the other; not both.
