Chao Family Foundation Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• In order to be eligible for the Chao Family Foundation Scholarship, applicants must: be high school seniors who reside in Los Angeles or Orange County; plan to attend a University of California or California State University as a first-year student in the upcoming fall (if selected, applicants must submit college acceptance letter for verification); have a 3.2 GPA; and have a household income at or below the county low-income level. This is open to all majors, and there is no ethnicity requirement.

  In addition to completing the application, applicants must also submit a transcript and a recommendation form. The scholarship awards will only be used to cover the cost of tuition for attending a college/university, as defined by the institution attended. The Chao Family Foundation believes every person has a right to reach their full potential. They aim to lift the road blocks and give them a fighting chance to work towards improving the lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.
