  • Scholarship Description
  • The EMU Presidential Scholarship is only available to incoming freshmen who have competed in the Presidential Scholarship Competition. Students must complete an EMU Admission Application as well as a separate application for the Competition. These applications are available at high schools beginning each September. This is a four-year award that pays 30 credit hours per year (15 per semester) of in-state tuition, housing, food allowance and mandatory fees. Awards are based on a competitive exam. To compete, high school seniors must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA with a minimum 25 ACT or 1150 SAT. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

Rap artist Megan Thee Stallion has partnered with Amazon Music’s Rap Rotation to launch the “Don’t Stop” $10,000 scholarship. Megan Thee Stallion, who has had two #1 hits just this year, wants to honor all women who “don’t stop working hard” even through tough times to complete their education. The scholarship is open to all women of color around the world who are currently enrolled at an institution of higher education and are seeking an associates, bachelor’s or graduate degree in any discipline. Two winners will receive $10,000 each. A college student herself, Megan Thee Stallion is passionate about the “transformative power of education” and advocates on behalf of all women pursuing college degrees. [...]
