The GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund awards scholarships to LGBTQ+ and allied students who exhibit leadership potential, demonstrate strong academic abilities, and are actively involved in school and community organizations. Founded in 1991, the GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund has awarded over 700 scholarships totaling over $4.5 million. The mission of the GSBA Scholarship Fund is to invest in the education of a diverse group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and allied students who have the capacity and vision to be the next generation of leaders working to create a better world for all.
GSBA awards educational scholarships to LGBTQ and straight-ally students who are committed to making a difference in the world. Eligible applicants must: reside in Washington state (those residing in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington are encouraged to apply) if applying for the undergraduate award; be a high school senior to grad student; have a 3.0 GPA (if applying for the graduate award); and, either identify as LGBTQ, members of LGBTQ families, or straight allies who've been supportive of the LGBTQ community. Citizenship is not required.
