The Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) is one of Michigan's oldest organizations. MWEA represents more than 2,000 water quality professionals statewide who are dedicated to preserving, restoring and enhancing Michigan's water resources. MWEA brings together a diverse group of individuals whose careers involve the water environment and who have similar objectives from a variety of backgrounds. MWEA provides a forum for all water environment topics. Throughout their generosity, MWEA offers financial aid to students.
The Michigan Water Environment Association offers a variety of scholarships for Michigan students studying or interested in studying wastewater treatment or some other aspect of the water environment field. Applicants must be Michigan residents attending or planning to attend a Michigan college or university. Most scholarships require a minimum GPA of 2.5. A few awards are restricted to members or relatives of members of the MWEA.
