The Selby Scholarship program scholarship program is available to residents of Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte or DeSoto counties. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college and/or university full-time to complete a bachelor’s (4-year) degree.

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduating senior from a high school in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto counties
- Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college or university to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
- Demonstrated exceptional financial need
Application Requirements
- High school transcript or state college transcript (if applicable)
- Letters of recommendation from teachers and/or community members
- Personal essays outlining values, goals, and future plans
- A personal interview with community leaders
