University of Michigan Alvin M. and Arvella D. Bentley Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• The University of Michigan Alvin M. and Arvella D. Bentley Scholarship is awarded to incoming LSA students who are Michigan residents, demonstrated high academic achievement and leadership during high school, and are interested in a career in public service. Each year, 6–8 incoming LSA students are invited to campus to interview to receive this award. These students are selected from the pool of Four-Year Renewable Scholarships applicants. Of these candidates, 2 recipients are selected to receive the Bentley Scholarship.

  Each year, the LSA Scholarships Office awards scholarships to incoming LSA students. These awards are made based on a student's scholarship application, their undergraduate admissions application, and their financial need, as demonstrated by their FAFSA and CSS profile. To maintain their scholarship, a student must: maintain a 3.0 GPA; and attend attend any special events where their scholarship donor will also be in attendance.
