Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Dr. Foster B. Gibbs Scholarship is designed to recognize a young man or woman who has taken full advantage of the educational opportunities offered by the City of Saginaw school district. Applicants must be a graduating senior from Arthur Hill High School or Saginaw High School who is planning on attending a Michigan college/university. A minimum 2.5 GPA is also required, as well as demonstrating financial need. Dollar amounts will vary.
