• Indiana University Bloomington offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for incoming students. You’ll receive consideration for IU Academic Scholarships and for the Selective Scholarship Application just by applying for admission to IU before the November 1 early action deadline. The Selective Scholarship Application (SSA) is an invitation-only application shared by a number of schools and programs at Indiana University Bloomington to award merit-based scholarships to incoming first-year students who meet high academic standards.

  IU awards the National Merit Scholarships to all National Merit Finalists who receive sponsorship through IU and indicate IU as their first choice through the National Merit Scholarship Program. It is renewable up to three years. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents. Both in-state and out-of-state applicants will be considered.
