• Scholarships and grants are awarded based on factors like academic achievement, talent, leadership, geographical location, field of study, and financial need. By applying to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, you’re automatically in the running for numerous scholarships, regardless of your major. All scholarships are for fall and spring semesters only unless otherwise noted. The University of Illinois offers many scholarships for Illinois residents.

  James Hunter Anthony & Gerald E. Blackshear Endowment is for incoming freshmen at the University of Illinois who have graduated from an Illinois high school in the amount equal to full tuition and fees for an academic year. Renewable for up to 4 years, provided you maintain a 3.0 GPA. Number of scholarships available varies. Students who apply to the University of Illinois are automatically considered for the scholarship, regardless of their major.
