Scholarship Description

In keeping with her legacy of community and youth involvement, The Keisha Bodden Scholarship Fund is offering scholarships to high school seniors in Central Florida.

Eligibility

  • Attend, beginning in the fall of the coming academic year, an accredited four-year Florida college or university
  • Have at least a 2.75 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be a US citizen.

At the age of 32, Keisha Bodden, born and raised in Cocoa and Orlando, Florida, passed away from breast cancer on July 31, 2002, leaving behind three daughters. Keisha received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Crime Prevention from UCF where she was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Pi Psi Chapter. She was a community organizer and advocate for youth. Her professional career was dedicated to working within the juvenile justice system and the community to help people reach their potential and fulfill their purpose in life.
