Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Mary Ellen Gase Scholarship was created for talented voice and keyboard music students to pursue college studies in music education or performance and to share their love of music with the community. Eligible applicants must: be a high school senior in voice/keyboard from Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA), or choir at Arthur Hill High School or Saginaw High School; have four semesters in choir or voice/keyboard department; be pursuing an undergraduate degree in choral or keyboard music education or performance full time; and have a 3.0 GPA. Dollar amounts will vary.
