The best types of financial aid are those you don't have to pay back after you graduate. Grants usually come from federal and state governments and are sent directly to the school. Through the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, several unique educational aid programs exist for students and prospective students based on their life circumstances, stage in life, family experiences, public service or other achievements.
Alliss Opportunity Grant Program for Adults Returning to College is available to students with financial need who are attending Minnesota State Colleges, and who are enrolled in A.A., A.S., A.A.S., A.F.A., diplomas, certificates and MnTC courses designed to transfer to baccalaureate programs. Applicants do not have to be Minnesota residents.
