- Scholarship Description
The St. Patrick’s scholarship is for $6,000 per year for four years in college as long as the student maintains good grades and good deportment. It is open to all applicants. In spite of its name, it is not restricted to individuals of Irish ancestry. One scholarship is given each year based primarily upon academic achievement and need but also extracurricular activities and other factors. The scholarship committee reviews all applications, interviews finalists and then makes the award. It is funded by a dinner held annually around St. Patrick’s Day. We are most interested in having any high school senior reasonably qualified to apply for the scholarship.
The St. Patrick's Scholarship is a charitable organization founded in 1964, which has been annually awarding a four-year scholarship. The scholarship is awarded based upon both academic promise and financial need and is awarded to student attending high school in The Greater Bridgeport Connecticut Area. The scholarship is awarded without regard to religion, race, color ancestry, national origin, sex or physical or mental disability.
