The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund provides financial support for students who are active and emerging organizers in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities.
Scholarship Details
- Annual scholarship awards up to $15,000 per recipient
- Funds are distributed by semester, quarter, or term
- Open to students in college, university, or trade/technical programs
- Scholarships are renewable annually with reapplication
- Focused on students actively involved in progressive social change
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled in a degree, trade, or training program
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must be actively involved in movements for progressive social and economic justice
Application Process
- Complete the Davis-Putter Scholarship application form
- Gather and submit supporting documentation including financial and academic information
- Submit your application by April 1
- Wait for decision notification in July
- Reapply each year for continued support
Grants must be used in the year they are awarded and cannot be deferred or carried over. Students can be granted more than once. Recipients who have previously received a grant must reapply each year support is sought.
