The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) Scholarship is available to full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university in North America studying architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or a related field.
Scholarship Details
- Two scholarships of $2,500 each are awarded annually
- Applicants must submit an essay between 1,000 and 2,000 words
- Essays will be evaluated by AGA reviewers, with final selection made by the AGA Executive Director
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited North American college or university
- High school students are not eligible
- Eligible majors include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or related fields
Application Process
- Write an original essay between 1,000 and 2,000 words discussing galvanizing and corrosion protection
- Submit the essay through the AGA website before the March 31st deadline
- Essays will be reviewed and ranked by the AGA committee
Winners will be personally notified and announced on the AGA website in May. The scholarship will be paid directly to the winning students educational institution.
