The GM Women's Retail Network Drive to Succeed Scholarship is open to traditional high school students, non-traditional students, and GM dealership employees, in the US or Canada, pursuing academic degrees in automotive management, business, and technical certification in automotive education. Applicants must be female, have a high school diploma or GED, be able to verify enrollment in the fall term of the year the award is offered, and be a Canadian or American citizen or have the ability to accept permanent employment in either country without a visa sponsorship.
Applicants are also required to: provide a recommendation letter (from either a past/current employer, academic instructor/school official or community/civic leader); a GM Dealer Recommendation Form; an official transcript from their most recent educational institution; a copy of their Student Aid Report (SAR) including their Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from the information they provided on their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and an essay on an assigned topic.
