Scholarship Description
The IWEA Environmental Career Scholarship supports science-oriented high school students in Illinois preparing for college. We offer a $500 scholarship for college-bound seniors interested in science and the environment. Scholarship recipients will be introduced at our Annual Conference. Additionally, we provide a reimbursement grant of up to $250 to the recommending teacher.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must:
• Be an Illinois resident attending an Illinois high school.
• Be a college-bound senior and provide enrollment documentation.
• Maintain a minimum high school GPA of 2.5.
• Submit a complete application packet to the Scholarship Committee.
We encourage all applicants to use our online application form, which requires attaching an essay/personal statement, a reference letter, and transcripts in PDF format. Official transcripts are not required. Please review the detailed instructions before completing the online application.
