There are many options for financing your education at Rutgers University. Scholarships are a form of gift aid and do not need to be repaid. Continuing and admitted students who submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are automatically considered for a wide range of scholarships awarded by the Office of Financial Aid.
Scholarships are subject to specific renewal and eligibility criteria from year to year. It is your obligation to review, understand and meet the renewal and eligibility criteria standards associated with your merit-based scholarship award(s). The Rutgers University Scarlet Scholarship is awarded for four years of undergraduate study. This scholarship is contingent upon satisfactory completion of your high school/college academic program at a level of achievement comparable to that upon which this award is based.
