The University of Kentucky offers renewable academic, competitive, and selective scholarship opportunities for incoming first-time freshmen. The Presidential Scholarship offers full in-state tuition for students who are either Kentucky residents or non-residents. Completed admission application and all supporting documents, including high school transcript, must be received as soon as possible, but by no later than December 1st of the academic year for scholarship consideration.
To be eligible for the Presidential Scholarship, applicants should have met the traditional criteria of at least a 3.5 GPA, with an ACT test score of 31 or SAT test score of 1390. The University of Kentucky is a national leader in using extensive data assessment beyond test scores to evaluate students for scholarship awarding, including heavily weighing a student’s unweighted high school GPA. All eligible students who apply by the Early Action deadline of December 1st, regardless of applying with or without an ACT/SAT test score, will be considered for academic scholarships.
