To be eligible for the Charlie Parnell Memorial Scholarship, applicants must: be a student with an intent to complete an engineering or science degree; demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career involving stormwater management or erosion and sediment control; have at least a grade point average of 2.5; and be a Minnesota resident (your college or university does not have to be located in Minnesota). Both new college students and those currently enrolled are encouraged to apply.
Once awarded, proof of school registration for the upcoming semester is required before release of the scholarship check. You must furnish any other applicable transcripts you would like the Scholarship Committee to consider. All applicants will be notified, by letter, of their eligibility and the results of their applications. The scholarship winner will be invited to attend the Minnesota Erosion Control Association’s annual conference in February.
