The Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) has established a need-based scholarship program to assist and encourage our undergraduate students in furthering their college education and in better connecting with youth. To apply to this need-based program for undergraduate student, the student or student's parent must be a member of a local Jain center. In addition, the student must either be a citizen or permanent resident of US or Canada.
An independent Scholarship Committee will evaluate all applicants using the primary criteria of financial need. Merit, submitted essays and recommendation letters will also be reviewed. Applicants with last 2-years average family income (AGI) under $120K will be eligible. During the process, the Committee will take utmost caution to ensure confidentiality of information submitted. JAINA intends to award scholarships ($1,500-$2,500) per student, subject to the number of applicants & contributors.
