NAPFA Females Interested in Financial Planning Scholarships

The purpose of the NAPFA Women's Initiative is to attract, support, educate, and develop women as leaders within the financial advisory profession and to raise awareness of the need for more female advisors. Currently women make up 25% of all financial advisors in the profession. We hope this scholarship opportunity will encourage more women to explore this profession.
Applicants should be female students of any major enrolled in a college or university in the United States. Students who will be a sophomore, junior, or senior in Fall of the year the scholarship is awarded qualify.
Applicants must submit the following by March 31st: Contact information for 2 references, a list of extracurricular activities and/or a resume, an 800-1000 word essay that answers the following three questions: What does a personal financial planner do? Why are women uniquely suited for this profession? If you became a personal financial planner, what impact would you like to have on your clients and the profession?
