The mission of the The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation is to put charitable contributions to work for the people of Martha’s Vineyard by making grants that address community priorities; funding scholarships for Island students, supporting community initiatives through fiscal sponsorships, project funding, dispersing emergency response funding during extreme times of need. The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation together with its investment team continuously builds and invests its endowment to provide continued resources for enhance and preserving the quality of life on the Vineyard.
Since its inception in 1984, The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation the foundation has multiple scholarships to Island students. Students of all ages are welcome to apply for scholarships towards college classes, certificate programs, graduate level programs, and other higher education or career-training educational programs. Scholarships typically range in size depending on a student’s need and the availability of funds, so dollar amounts will vary.
