  • Student Financial Aid supports the recruitment, retention and degree completion of a dynamic and culturally diverse student body, in preparation for a lifetime of personal and professional success. Bronco Express assists students with transactions and questions related to financial aid, making payments, student accounts and general registration information. If your circumstances require further advising, an appointment with a Financial Services Specialist can be made. Western Michigan University offers numerous awards.

The Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Award in the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University provides undergraduate students with opportunities for hands-on research or creative activities experience with faculty from the College by offering awards up to $750 to defray the cost of carrying out a research, scholarly or creative activity project. Funds may be used for materials and supplies, student stipend, travel to conduct the research or creative activity or other expenses related to carrying out the project and may be used in conjunction with other internal WMU student awards. Separate deadlines exist for spring semester and summer I, II and fall semester requests. The number of qualified applicants, types of awards requested, and the availability of funds will determine how many awards are made.
