Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. To be eligible for the Clifford H. Spicer Memorial Scholarship, applicants must: be a high school senior or college student (full-time); pursue an undergraduate degree in land surveying or civil engineering; be a Michigan resident; have a 3.0 GPA for high school senior status, a 2.5 for college freshman, 2.75 for college sophomore, and 3.0 for college junior; and attend an ABET-accredited program. If there are no applicants attending an ABET-accredited program, then a student who is enrolled in a transfer program to an ABET-accredited program may be considered. Dollar amounts will vary.
