JFCS helps hundreds of Jewish students every year achieve their educational and vocational goals by providing them with loans and grants. This assistance is intended to offset the expense of college, graduate or vocational school, and other accredited programs.
Eligibility
To qualify for one of our loans and grants, students must fulfill the following requirements:
- Identify as Jewish and show meaningful involvement with the community
- Be a permanent resident of Sonoma, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, or Northern Santa Clara Counties
- Have submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have demonstrated financial need
- Be in good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA
Eligible undergraduate and graduate students may apply for financial aid annually to defray their educational and vocational training costs. All qualified students will be considered for both loans and grants. Our undergraduate grants range from $500 to $3,000, and our subsidized loans range from $1,000 to $6,000 with low-interest rates and favorable repayment terms.
