My name is Jefferson Coto. I recently worked at the airport as an aircraft fueler and it made me realize that I have a passion for airplanes or aircrafts in general. Fueling the Emirates Airbus 380 and the Lufthansa Boeing 747 has been a huge experience for me. I then decided to move forward to learn more about aviation. The goal is to become an Aircraft Technician or Aerospace Engineer later in the years as I pursue my education further.

Nathan R  on 10/5/2022 2:24:21 PM

Hello my name is Nathan Rodriguez. Since 2016, aviation has had a big influence on my life, in particular, commercial aviation. As a young adult I have been interested in becoming a pilot because of my innate ability to take initiative, superb responsibility and work ethic, and the opportunity to manage nerves in high stress scenarios. Since I was born post 9/11, I've seen first hand how aviation has become more stressful for the general public, on top of that, a pandemic that has highly influenced passenger behavior. I want to become the best pilot I can to be able to elevate the fears that most passengers carry.

Good afternoon! How are you? I hope you are doing well. I am here requesting for sponsorship so that I can further my career in the field of aviation where I have been working for the past 19 years. I was trained in 2012 (the new ICAO flight plan) and 2014 at East African School of Aviation in Nairobi, Kenya where I did my basic training in AIS (ICAO/AIS 021). I now want to further my career and specialize in cartography/AIS Automation . Also since we are in the transition period, I would also like to do the course in AIS/AIM. I am keenly interested to study in these areas. I am currently working at Gambia Civil Aviation Authority as an AIS Officer. I am also a member of Gambia Aeronautical Information Service Association (GAMAISA) that has registered with International Federation of Aeronautical Information Management Association (IFAIMA). As already mentioned earlier, I have nineteen years working experience in aviation industry. Therefore, I really feel that if I have the opportunity to train further it would help me progress in my work. Please try to put me in contact and I look forward in hearing from you soon. There is nothing else that would help me in my career more than to train further.

I am applying for this scholarship to finish my commercial and multi engine commercial because i am broke

Mnoro Lado  on 1/9/2021 4:32:28 PM

It is a blessing for me to apply for this scholarship because my financial aid wouldn't cover up the fees for some of the classes that I am taking. My Federal Pell Grant $3173.00 and my classes total bill statemen for this year fall of 2020 was $4744.00. so I took a Federal Subsidized Loan for $1514.00 for every semester and for the fall of 2021 my classes total bill statemen $6744 and also for spring of 2022.This why I am really grateful for this opportunity because when I was young I always had strong interested in becoming part of the aviation program. This is why I became part of the aviation technician program at LCC. I am currently taking airframe and powerplant courses at the LCC Mason MI Aviation center. I just finished my first fall semester which I achieved outstanding grades in all my classes. I understand the FAA rules and regulations and the basic of aircraft. I am now prepared to continue my degree to strive for my final goals of becoming a master at Aviation technology.

Erin V  on 1/6/2021 8:58:26 PM

I'm 14 and I'm searching for scholarships to help me become a pilot. I'm currently in CAP. Being a pilot is expensive, so a scholarship would be a start.

Macayla W  on 1/5/2021 3:45:06 PM

I am currently a high school student with a dream to fly helicopters in the near future. I am taking many classes at the college level to earn credits to jump-start my career. I plan to attend Southern Utah University in the fall to eventually earn my bachelor's. The cost of labs and tuition is very expensive, and I hope to bring in as much money as I can to help pay for expenses. I hope to graduate with a low amount of debt, and inspire other females in aviation to pursue their goals!

Derick M  on 1/5/2021 2:30:33 AM

Hi, am a ppl(h) pilot who would love to continue flying as aviation has always been in my blood but due to financial difficulties, I had to halt my dream of becoming a commercial pilot and start doing menial jobs to survive. Breayna F  on 12/31/2020 11:57:03 AM

My passion is to fly planes and make a family business out of it. I'm extremely interested in all of the help I could use BUT my only concern is, are you only offering assistance for those who take the college course? I was planning to do flight training school and I need assistance in the cost.

jonathon brown  on 12/30/2020 5:45:11 PM

Leochris G  on 12/10/2020 10:14:40 PM

I am a local west palm beach student who is starting a BS in aviation and attending liberty university.I have found a reliably FTA (Flight training affiliate about 7 miles from my home and I want to pursue my career dream as a pilot and I am most worried about the funding . If I am given this chance I will prove that all the money used will be strictly for academic purposes and advancement for the necessity of filling a pilot seat for our great country . Please consider giving me an advantage in this very pricey field . Thank you .

Michelle A  on 11/30/2020 6:08:57 PM

Hello my name is Michelle, I am a furloughed AA flight attendant. Before receiving my cjo the summer of 2019, my dream was always to become an airline pilot. Becoming a FA was an opportunity I could not pass on. I dropped out of college to pursue this as a career and with that I let down my parents who refuse to help me after choosing to leave school to become a flight attendant. I do not regret a thing because this job brought so many joys into my life, a new life, friends wanderlust for travel and found a home within the aviation industry. Due to covid I have unfortunately been furloughed. My life drastically changed and I became very lost while losing sight of what was next for me in life. I am attempting to pick myself back up by starting off where I left off with my originally dream to become a pilot. It has sparked something in me and I am finally back up and passionate to get myself to airline pilot ranking. And so here I am now, asking for financial assistance to help me attain this dream.

Sara Hill  on 11/18/2020 8:14:47 PM

My name is Sara Hill, a current high school student with the dream to one day have four golden bands on the wrist of my commercial pilot's uniform. I am currently taking flight lessons and academic courses to obtain my PPL while serving the community and nation as one of few women in the Raritan Valley Composite Squadron of the US Civil Air Patrol, the volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force. Just two days ago, I found out that I have been accepted to study Aeronautical Sciences at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, Florida. Getting in was one thing, but paying for it is another; ERAU is my best shot at making my dream come true. As a Hispanic LGBTQ+ woman in aviation, I am giving my dreams everything I've got to not only live a life doing what I love, but to give greater representation to woman in aviation. This scholarship would allow me to do so and put me on path to accomplish my dream, as well as pave the way for future generations of little girls who share my dream to touch the sky.

Martins udo  on 11/11/2020 7:07:25 AM

Tadiwanashe C  on 11/9/2020 9:12:56 AM

I am a student at Bird Aviation school in Vereeniging and I have been seeking financial aid. I am currently a student pilot license holder and I have completed all of my exams with pass marks that can get me to complete and proceed to getting my Private Pilot License, now all that is left is to fly but my financial state is what is putting a hold on that. I would love to learn more in depth about Skyfinsa and also to understand more on what one can do to secure financial aid and also the criteria of candidates you are looking for?

Elizabeth B  on 11/2/2020 12:43:16 PM

My name is Elizabeth. I am 17 year old and I'm planning on pursuing an aviation career. Along with that I have been taking college courses in my local HS and also through Metropolitan State University in Colorado. Through these past two years, I have nearly saved myself 2 years of college and also have been able to proceed through Metro's aviation program since I have been flying/working of my private pilots certificate out at APA, through Aspen Flying club and TAC Air. I have been wanting to apply for this scholarship for awhile now, this scholarship and becoming a pilot will definitely help my family and I financially.

Sonia Soto  on 10/25/2020 2:22:14 PM

The past year and a half, I’ve been in the aviation field from July 2019-July 2020 I was a Ramp agent and ticket counter agent and gate agent my station I learned to do everything since are station is small 6 months into the job I became the night Lead Ramp Agent and I loved it ! Now I am next over to the airport messing with the aircraft parts and relocating everything because ROW (Roswell,NM) is know for a graveyard for planes and since the COVID hit airlines have been parking planes out there we have already around 500 my next step in the aviation field is to go to school for Aviation Maintenance Technology A.A.P so I can next be the one working on a aircraft and servicing the aircrafts. Maxx M  on 10/7/2020 6:11:10 PM

Hi! My name is Maxx, and I’m 21 years old. I’m currently working a full time job in order to try and pay for flight school. As many people are aware, aviation is an expensive field to train in and this grant would be of tremendous help. The key to flight training is consistency, and with this grant I can expedite my training, finish certificates sooner and most importantly retain that information for use as a professional pilot in the future. Thank you for your consideration!

Marisol H  on 9/22/2020 1:48:49 PM

I would love to pursue my career in law enforcement as Police helicopter pilot. Becoming a pilot will help financially to provide for my family instead of working 2-3jobs. I am a single parent therefor I can not afford to pay for a flight school. If I receive this scholarship it will be an honor not only to my family but for my city. Coming from a family of migrant workers I can inspire and motivate anyone that everything is possible. If I ever win the lottery I will pay every single penny back or pay for someone else scholarship. Thank you for your time.

Aviation is amazing, lot of thrill and great times in the air. I was diagnosed HDHD when I was a child. I am learning disabled yes. But I never let that get in the way. I was told that I would never be able to do anything and that I was too stupid. However, I've proved a lot of people wrong. I am a hard-working individual trying to make ends me everyday. I am flying as we speak, I am getting those hours in because id rather love what I do for work then dislike it.
