My dream is to become a second grade teacher. I am currently enrolled at Lindenwood University and majoring in early childhood education. I have had the opportunity to observe several teachers and I am positive it is the career I want to pursue. I am currently maintaining a 3.8 GPA and it is looking like this semester I might even get it to a 4.0. It is a dream of mine to graduate from college debt free and this scholarship would help me achieve this goal!

I always wanted to be a preschool teacher but I feel as if I didn’t have what it took even though I love kids I love to help others and everything enjoy seeing other people happy but now I just feel like I do have what it take .

I am seeking educational assistance in pursuing a Master of early childhood education degree, which I have been employed at a head start center for almost 14 years. Due to unforeseen events, I was forced to leave a graduate program, but have had no success in completing the degree. I was enrolled in an online program, but was unable to complete it and instead accumulated an enormous amount of college debt. Therefore, I am endeavoring and definitely determined to reach my goal in obtaining my desired degree in early childhood education, but I need financial assistance in reaching my career goal. I love working with children and youth, which is my "life purpose."

I am currently a freshman at Grand Valley State University. I am majoring in Special Education for Elementary and I am so excited for my future as a teacher. I am also a cheerleader and getting this scholarship would mean so much to me as a future educator. I can not wait to impact lives and make a change as my teachers did to me growing up. Helping students with special needs has always been a passion of mine, I have always been friends with the students in my classes growing up who had special needs and I would always be there for them reminding them they are just like everyone else.

I have been an early childhood educator for more than ten years. I enjoy what I do and I love working with the children in my care. This scholarship would really help me pay for the majority of my education. Since March 2020, I have been the only one who's had a steady income and it's been tough. I am pursuing my bachelor's in early childhood to earn more income and work along side other educational professionals outside the classroom. I will still be able to offer my expertise to fellow workers and children of the Navajo Nation.
