To support students with Cystic Fibrosis in pursuing their educational goals, three scholarships will be awarded annually: one $5,000, one $3,000, and one $2,000 scholarship.
Scholarship Details
- Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing, or meal plans
- Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient’s institution
- Applicants may apply annually and receive up to four total awards
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have a confirmed diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis with physician documentation
- Must be a U.S. citizen with proof of citizenship (birth certificate, passport, or certificate of birth abroad)
- Must reside in one of 24 eligible states
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing
- Must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited U.S. college, university, junior college, or trade school
Application Process
- Complete all sections of the application form, marking “N/A” where needed
- Write a personal essay (500–1,000 words) addressing prompts about goals, CF impact, and personal accomplishments
- Obtain three letters of recommendation from a healthcare provider, school official, and community member
- Collect all required documentation, including proof of diagnosis, citizenship, transcripts, and enrollment
- Email each required document as a separate file before the deadline
- Include a parent or guardian’s signature if under age 18
Our Selection Committee carefully evaluates applicants to award scholarships, and all decisions are final. Awards are primarily merit-based but also consider financial need. The committee will assess scholastic record and academic achievements, school activities and leadership roles, cCommunity service and involvement and personal qualities and experiences demonstrated in the application, including the essay. Applicants may provide documentation to support financial need, such as a FAFSA report or financial statement.
