There is an overwhelming need for CACREP counselors with the mental health crisis in the United States. The rural community that I live in is faced with so many co existing diagnosises of substance abuse and mental health issues.

I did apply for this scholarship. I feel there is a huge need for mental health services for people living in rural areas. There are huge differences and many special circumstances in rural areas that have their own set of challenges.
