The Sault Tribe Higher Education Grant is for Sault Tribe members attending a Michigan state-supported two- or four-year college or university full-time (12 credit hours or more). Grants are based on unmet financial need as determined by the individual college in which the student is enrolled.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Sault Tribe member
- Enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) at a Michigan state-supported college or university
- Undergraduate student
- Completed FAFSA form
Application Process
- Complete the Higher Education Grant Application (Unmet Needs)
- Sign and include a W-9 form
- Provide a current copy of the student’s tribal card
- Submit a Grant Assistance Form completed by the college or university
- Applications can be submitted via email or physical mail from mid-August until the grant's due date
All applications must include the following information: a completed Higher Education Grant Application (Unmet Needs); a signed W-9 form; a current copy of the student’s tribal card; and a Grant Assistance Form, completed by the college or university. The Higher Education Grant Application can be submitted by email or physically mailed in. Applications are open from the middle of August until the grant's due date.
