The program will assist students as they navigate and pursue a two-year degree or career certification from Forsyth Tech or Davidson-Davie County Community College. The Salem Glen College Assistance Program will also provide a mentor pairing to scholarship recipients to aid occupational goal engagement. Mentors will be residents of the Salem Glen neighborhood. Applicants must be residents of Forsyth or Davidson Counties, demonstrate financial need, and plan to attend and meet the requirements for admission to Forsyth Tech or DCCC.
This scholarship is offered through the Shallow Ford Foundation. The Shallow Ford Foundation started as the Clemmons Rotary Foundation in 2004, receiving its 501(c)(3) public charity designation from the IRS. Its visionary leadership converted the foundation to a Community Foundation in 2012, named the Clemmons Community Foundation with the purpose of expanding its reach beyond Rotary membership and more broadly working to improve the Clemmons community.
