Scholarship Description

Since the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA) began serving the needs of law enforcement personnel statewide in 1932, we have developed expertise in employment relations, collective bargaining, legislative lobbying, and legal assistance for law enforcement personnel. Currently serving over 10,000 active and retired members from almost 300 locals, WPPA is a non-profit IRC Sec 501(c)(5) Labor Organization. Throughout their generosity, the WPPA offers scholarships.

The Wisconsin Professional Police Association Scholarship Program is offered to any Wisconsin resident enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two-year or four-year degree in police science, criminal justice, or a law enforcement-related field which does not include law school. Applicants must enclose a typewritten essay (on 8½ x 11 paper) of 200 words or fewer outlining why you have chosen a law enforcement career and provide three letters of recommendation from three different sources. Dollar amounts will vary.
