Emily’s Light CF Foundation Scholarship

• Scholarship Description
• All applications are reviewed by an independent committee comprised primarily of individuals who knew Emily or are connected with cystic fibrosis treatment or research. Applications are scored on essay answers, achievements in school and extra-curricular activities, and quality of writing. The two top scoring applicants will be notified in late August on their chosen award, with funds sent directly to their educational institution within ten business days of notification. Funds are disbursed directly to the educational institution upon receipt of a semester schedule from student and confirmation with registrar’s office.

  Emily’s Light CF Foundation scholarships are provided to two or three deserving students each year. Recipients are chosen based on academic history and personal attributes, with special attention paid to those who also share Emily’s drive and passion for making change in the world. Applicants can win scholarships in multiple years and we try to increase the award amount each year as funding allows. Applications are due at the end of July and notifications sent out by late August. All awards are sent directly to recipient’s college or university tuition office.
