Milliman, a global leader in actuarial, risk management, and related technology and data solutions has established the Milliman Opportunity Scholarship program to assist students of ethnic groups who have historically been under-represented in the fields of actuarial science, data science, computer science, economics, and programming. Fifteen (15) to twenty-five (25) awards of no less than US$ 5,000 will be granted. Awards are not automatically renewed but students may reapply to the program each year they continue to meet eligibility requirements.
Eligible candidates must have: at least one birth parent who is a member of one of the following groups: African descent, Latino/Hispanic, Native North American, or Pacific Islander; Be a high academically achieving student; Be a high school senior or a current postsecondary undergraduate; Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited or bona fide college or university; Be majoring or intending to major in one of the approved fields of study.
