• Scholarship Description
• The Josie Torralba Romero (JTR) Scholarship Fund provides academic scholarships to Latino students interested in pursuing a college degree in mental health related academic areas. Scholarships are awarded for one year of academic study. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, legal residents, and DACA students who are residents of New Mexico and who commit to working in the field of behavioral health in New Mexico for two years after their graduation.

  Applicants must be accepted and continue to be enrolled as a full time (12 credit hours or more) student at a college or university. Bachelor level junior or seniors; Masters and Doctoral level students enrolled fulltime in a behavioral health degree program to include: social work, psychology, counseling/therapy or psychiatry are eligible to apply. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
