Scholarship Details
- $5,000 per academic year for up to four years
- Supports tuition, fees, books, and on-campus housing/meals
- Open to Native American students pursuing four-year STEM degrees
- Renewal is automatic but subject to Scholarship Committee discretion
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be Native American with a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB)
- Accepted to or enrolled in a four-year undergraduate institution
- Major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (unofficial transcripts accepted)
- Commitment to completing 6 hours of community service per academic year
Application Process
- Complete and sign the application form and applicant agreement
- Submit a copy of your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB)
- Provide unofficial transcripts showing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Submit a letter of admission to a four-year undergraduate institution
- Include a clear photo (no hats or sunglasses)
- Provide two letters of reference (one from an instructor/advisor, one from a non-family source)
- Write a one-page essay describing your background, future goals, and how a STEM education benefits you and your community
- Optionally, submit a second essay about extracurricular or community service activities, especially those related to STEM
- Submit your complete application by June 13, 5:00 PM MST
