The Wittenberg Music Department offers scholarships in voice, band and orchestral instruments, piano, organ, and classical guitar—and these scholarships are available to all students regardless of major. The scholarship is renewable annually, as long as you are in good academic standing and you fulfill the requirements of the scholarship. Financial need is not a determining factor for music scholarships. Applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA for renewal. Amounts for this scholarship will vary.
Students must choose an audition date. To choose one of the audition dates, request a different date, or submit a recorded audition, you will need to audition by March 1st before your first year at Wittenberg. If you are considering a major in music, this audition will also serve as your entrance audition. It is also possible to audition on one of these days via live video (using Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.), instead of auditioning on campus. And it us understand that you might want to change from on-campus to live video (or vice versa) closer to the audition date.
Vocal auditions have a separate set of requirements. Two contrasting songs, one in a foreign language if possible. A piano accompanist will be provided.
