The Marcy Houses Memorial Scholarship Fund accepts applications from students who currently reside in Brooklyn’s Marcy Houses, a property of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). Applicants must be accepted into an accredited college, university or licensed trade/vocational school at the time they submit a Marcy Houses Memorial Scholarship Fund application. There is no age limit for applicants. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or trade school in the upcoming Fall.
Besides completing the application, applicants must: provide proof of residency; submit one letter of recommendation; submit an official transcript and evidence of acceptance to a college/university or trade/vocational school; submit an official transcript and evidence of acceptance to a college/university or trade/vocational school; and be available to potentially participate in an in-person or digital interview. Applicants will be notified of selection status no later than the end of July.
